Fundraising
The main work we do at Andrea’s Gift to raise funds for life
saving research and patient support. We are helped in that mission by many of our supporters who run fundraising
efforts for us or join in some of the events run centrally by Andrea's Gift. Take a look at the Events page and come and join us!
Make collecting event sponsorship a little easier by creating
a personalised online fundraising page for your event at Justgiving.
You can email the page details to everyone in your computer
address book, sponsors pay directly online in a safe and protected environment, all you have to do is the hard work for
your event!
How to Fundraise Successfully
If you decide to run your own event, or take on an even greater challenge, please read James Bate's Guide to Successful Fundraising to find out how he raised over £81,000 in just 7 months!
Many of you will be familiar
with James' name as he is one of Andrea’s Gift’s most successful fundraisers and has received much local
and national media attention. James is also very happy to give advice
about how to get the most from an event. Please contact Carol and she will put you in touch with James.
Other Hints and Tips
You can help
us in so many ways, you can:
Organise a Fundraising event for Andrea’s Gift. There are so many possibilities depending on what
you want to do or are comfortable with. Have a look at Fund Raising Ideas and see if anything catches your eye.
You may prefer to take up a sporting sponsored challenge such as a walk or run – 5k, 10k, half or full marathon, then
please download the Andrea's Gift Sponsor Form with Gift Aid or
join in the Andrea’s Gift annual Cycle Ride to Scarborough or our Sponsored 10 mile walk. You may prefer
to organise a dinner or a ball, a race evening, coffee morning or BBQ.
One thing is for sure, if you organise an event you enjoy, it will very likely be a huge success.
Andrea’s Gift
can help you in different ways. Use the Organising a Successful Dinner/Ball fact sheet that provides a suggested timetable and tips when planning a dinner or ball; we can provide collecting tins, banners, leaflets and posters
etc. to help you promote your event and wherever possible we will attend the event to say a few words to the guests and supporters
present.
Please remember that any help you can give has a direct impact
on brain tumour patients and life saving research in Yorkshire.
