Welcome to the fundraising page for the team from HBoS

We are incredibly grateful to the fundraising team from HBoS for adopting Andrea's Gift as their charity of the year in 2007!

Simon Butler (who lost a close friend to a brain tumour in 2006) and Stephen Carruthers (Andrea's Gift Trustee, see Callum Carruthers for more about Stephen's involvement) got together a team of friends and colleagues at HBoS and they hope to raise £20,000 to fund Andrea's Gift support activities in 2008. These will include funding for:

March Awareness Big Tea Party
Kids of Courage gifts awarded to very special children in the region
Patient & Carer Support Group summer BBQ
Trip to Lightwater Valley/Alton Towers for young people (12 - 20) affected by brain tumours in Yorkshire
Patient & Carer Support Group Christmas Dinner
Christmas Party

In addition, other cash grants awarded to brain tumour patients who are suffering financial hardship.

We are incredibly grateful for the team's support.

How they have helped so far ...

Members took part in the Big Bike Ride in May
They have decorated a supporter's home
Run a Golf Day on the wettest day of the year! Despite the weather, the team raised almost £1,000 towards their target!
The team also organised a very successful Car Boot Sale raising £1,000 at the HBoS main building.
10 members of the team cycled 100 miles in one day from Halifax to Scarborough, we had a fantastic day, if not a little wet at times. Congratulations to Steve who completed 25 miles of the course in the rain in a hand cycle, which looked incredibly difficult!
A Big Quiz is planned for October, more details to follow!
