Riding in memory of Pete Lambert Andrea's Gift Big Bike Ride, Saturday 10th May 2008 We had an amazing day on the 2008 Wetherby to Scarborough Big Bike Ride! The weather was fgantasitc, we had almost 200 participants who slogged hard in the heat to cover the 65 mile course.  I don't think the beer and chips ever tasted so good! Frying Tonight! Event update!  We have some wonderful events planned for the next few months and it would be fantastic if you could support some of them, follow the link for more information and details of the events. Saturday 1st March - Tracey Wilkinson's Coffee Morning in Silsden  raised a staggering £1,150!  Well done to everyone involved, it was a brilliant day!  See the action in the kitchen opposite and below! Saturday 15th March - Jamie's Ceilidh was once again a great success and raised £1,633! Wednesday 19th March - We had a great time at the Big Tea Party to mark Brain Tumour Awareness Week.  Tracey Wilkinson won the Andrea's Gift Significant Achievement Award, runners up were Janet Lee and Heather Coupland.  Fundraiser of the Year went to Paula Butler and the Getting There group received a special award to say thank you to the members for all their hard work. Thursday 3rd April - What a great night we had at Tinshill and Cookridge Club, with brilliant music provided by Diamonique, Cathy Pratt', her family and friends raised £1,470!  Friday 11th April -A brilliant night was had by all at the Night at the Oscars Ball at the Bridge Inn, Walshford, Wetherby.  Special thanks to Carolyn Eyre for running the event again and raising a further £1,000!

Leeds Institute for Molecular Medicine Update on Research Lab Andrea's Gift and Leeds based children's cancer charity Candlelighters  have agreed to fund long-term brain tumour research in Leeds.  The recruitment process for a senior scientist has just begun. Updates on progress will follow!

More High Profile Support for Andrea's Gift! Yorkshire TV presenter Vicky Locklin is the latest celebrity to become involved and give her support to brain tumour patients in Yorkshire.   Vicky says "I know that the wonderful emotional and financial help given by everyone at Andrea's Gift gave my close friend and her 2 year old daughter such support when the family faced the tragic loss of a young husband and daddy to a brain tumour."
